| Imagination at work when reading! |
Welcome
tenth grade writers, to Mr. Gund's Reading Blog. You may wonder what this blog
is all about. This blog serves as a way for everyone to come together as a
diverse community and say his or her opinions about what we are reading in our
class as well as different reading strategies and other interesting
topics.
On this blog you will be able to say what you think about what we are reading, starting with our unit on Edgar Allen Poe's short stories. I will let you know every time an assignment will be posted and when it is due.
Unlike many of the assignments you have done in this class, this is a public forum. This means that anyone can read what you are posting about the assigned topic. This is a wonderful way to involve your parents who might have been reading the novel with you since they can post their thoughts as well. Some of the other teachers and faculty in the school will also be posting their comments with us as we discuss Poe's works and other books to be covered.
Here are some rules to be aware of when posting comments.

Here are some rules to be aware of when posting comments.
1. Be respectful above everything else. I do not want to see harsh, hurtful,
or cruel remarks directed at other posts. You can respectfully disagree with
other posts. It's important to remember that everyone can see your posts.
2. Read the other posts! There are lots of other unique ideas and perspectives being
contributed by the other students and posters.
3. Use grammatically correct language. It is important to keep things as grammatically correct as
possible so that everyone can understand what you are trying to say.
4. Have fun! This is
your chance to say what you want to say about various class related topics!
